Amazing it's already August...

August has come. School has started. Addie turned 10 months old! She is now to the double digits! She is growing like a weed; getting bigger and bigger everyday. It's funny how everyone always tells you to cherish every moment with your children because before you know it, they're 18 and moving out. It is so true. It seems like just yesterday, we were on our way to the hospital looking forward to meeting our little one.

She is a busy, busy little girl. She's crawling everywhere and getting into everything!

She absolutely loves going swimming!

She loves to play with her cousin Brayden and eat yummy popsicles!

Another big thing happened in August. I went back to work. Not that don't love spending 24/7 with my little bug but sometimes mommy's just need a break! So I decided to go back to work part time. I currently work at the Woodmark in Sun City. I am the front desk concierge in the memory care unit. It is completely different than what I did in the past but I am enjoying something new. It's a fun new experience!

I also had a friend from high school who asked me to make a cake for her son's 3rd birthday. He loves the Disney Channel show, Jake and the Neverland Pirates., and wanted that theme for his birthday party. So of course I had to make a cake that matched.

It was an amazing August!

Jovial July...

Happy Birthday America! Thanks to my friend Kallie for the cute outfit! July was another great month. I know I keep saying that, but it's really been a great year since we welcomed our daughter. We decided to go up to the cabin for the 4th of July. Unfortunately, Trenton was unable to join us due to work :( So Addie and myself went with my parents and friends. The weather was beautiful! It was a cool 85* during the day and 55* at night. I love that kind of weather. Why can't the valley take a hint? Anyways, while up there we spent all day outdoors. It was just too nice to be cooped up in the cabin. Addie loves the outdoors! Here are a few pictures of our lovely weekend get-a-way!

Addie loved riding in the Razer and on the quad with grandpa!

Enjoying the outdoors eating watermelon and playing!

Later that month, Addie and I decided to have a little photo shoot. Might I add that this happened at 6:30 in the morning, in my bedroom. The cute tutu and matching headband are courtesy of my aunt. By the time the photos ended Addie was not a happy camper.

I made a cake for a friend from high school. It was her daughter's first birthday and needed a Minnie Mouse themed cake. I had so much fun making it!

Hope you all had an amazing July!

Jumping for June...

Aw, the dog days of summer! Well not really, all I can say is Satan can have his weather back. Other than the EXTREMELY hot Arizona weather, June was a great month. Addie turned 8 months old! She also conquered a HUGE milestone...she started crawling! That's right, my baby is on the move. One minute she's playing in grandma's living room and the next minute she is trying to follow me. She was slow and unsteady at the time but is now fast as lightening. Here are few more pictures!

She loves to Read!

Daddy and Addie!

Another big thing happened in June. Trent turned 27! He is getting so old....not. We decided to have few of our friends over for a celebration. BBQ, swimming, and lots of dessert! He wanted a birthday cake made by yours truly. I decided to make a tire cake. I figured that would be the best since he LOVES cars especially volkswagens. So here's a picture of the VW wheel cake. It's made completely of buttercream frosting since Trent doesn't really like fondant. Enjoy!

I hope you all had a great June because we did!

Magnificent May...

May was another magnificent month! Addie turned 7 months old! She is getting big too fast. Her first tooth finally popped through. That was a "fun" few nights!  Here are a few pictures of my little growing bug. Too cute is all I have to say!

My babe LOVES to eat watermelon...well, actually any food.

Addie's first time going swimming was with cousin Brayden!

That's all I have to say about May!

All About April....

April showers brings May flowers....well not really in Arizona! It was getting to be hotter than heck in the desert. Addie turned 6 months old! Watching your baby grow is always an exciting adventure! April also marked 1 year since my brother, Cody, left to serve his mission in Dallas Texas. It  just so happens that Trenton's great grandmother lives in Dallas. It also just so happens that Addie is her first great-great grandchild! So of course we had to travel to Texas so Grandma Emma could meet her. It was a fun-filled week visiting family that we don't really get to see very often. They were all so in love with this little bundle of joy. We were able to get a 5 generation picture!

We also visited the Dallas World Aquarium. If you are ever in the neighborhood, definitely go and visit! It's quite an adventure and little ones will love it! I mean look at Addie, looking at the crab :)

We also drove a few hours out of the way to see my brother. I know what you may be thinking, but it was so "wirth" it! Cody has never met Addie and we were so excited to see him! I am so thankful for my brother and his willingness to serve the Lord.

We also had a little photo shoot in Grandma's backyard. It was fun to see Addie's different faces :)

Later that month, one of my best friends was having her baby shower. She was expecting a little girl and I was lucky enough to be asked to make her cake! She was having an old fashioned tea party. It was so cute with all the crystal plates and teapots. What a fun afternoon that was! Her is a picture of the cake :)
Well that sums up April, it was a great month!

Madness in March...

March was an exciting month....for Addie milestones. Addie turned 5 months old! She rolled from her belly to her back for the first time! That was so fun to see. Trent and I continued to work our jobs. By the end of the month, I was missing my baby like crazy. I decided to put in my notice to quit. March 30th was my last day at La Loma Care Center after being there for 5 years. It was bitter sweet but I was excited to stay at home with my baby girl! Other than that, everything was "unmad" in our household. Here's a picture of our beautiful 5 month old! (and Daddy too)

Family Fortunes in February....

Oh February! That seemed like so long ago. Lots of things happened. Addie turned 4 months old! She was so tiny. She also started sitting up on her own but no rolling over. She hated being on her tummy. My, how that has changed. February 14th was a big day. The day marked one year since I found out I was expecting!    That was one of the most exciting days especially after having 3 miscarriages the year before. Our sweet daughter has been such a blessing in our lives. I am so thankful I am able to spend eternity with amazing little family! Another big thing happened in our life. I returned to work after being on maternity leave. That was the hardest day ever! I couldn't bare to think of leaving my sweet girl. Luckily we were able to have family watch her. I thank my Nana, Dad and Mom, and especially my husband. It made it a little easier to go back to the grind. When I did return to work, I was given a promotion. It had been in the works for months but we wanted to wait until I returned from maternity leave. I was now the supervisor over the whole building for the enrichment department! I was so excited to learn new things and continue with the old. I was also given a raise, which was nice for our financials! Other than those few things, February was spent watching our sweet pea grow even more. Here's a picture of my happy four-month-old!

Holy Cow!!!

I really need to be better at keeping up with my blog! A lot has happened since my last post. I am going to try and sum up the last 9 months in a few more posts. Don't worry, there will be more to come!
