A Day at the Children's Museum

Well, yesterday Trent's family decided to drive down and see us. Today, while Theresa (my mother-in-law) and Stacey (my sister-in-law) drove to Vernal to look at a house, Michelle (another sister-in-law) and I took the 3 little girls (the rest of the sisters-in-law) to the Salt Lake Children's Museum. They LOVED it! It was actually quite fun and entertaining to watch the girls play and learn. I also played a little myself! It was so fun :)

* I made a sandwich out of the play food. Yum!!

*Drawing the horse that's on the wall above me.

*The finished masterpiece!

*Riding the "fake" horse with Carly.

*Lily in the bird house.

*Carly filling the jeep up with gas.

*Anna climbing the rocks.

*The girls and I in the helicopter.

*Michelle and Lily driving the ol' farm truck!

*Rockin' on the porch swing of the GIANT playhouse.

What do you think about getting a FREE car?

So one day last week Trent got a phone call from dad. They spoke for about 30 minutes or so. When Trent finally got off the phone the first words that came out were....."What do you think about a getting a FREE car?" WHAT?! were my thoughts exactly. So now we have a red 2001 Pontiac Grand Am!

The Story:

Trent's dad, Blaine, has a friend in Montana that was the owner car. Blaine was speaking to him one day and they some how got on the topic of cars. (Imagine that?! Grown men talking about cars) Anyways, the friend was talking about the Pontiac and said that something happened in the engine. He also said that he just didn't want to fix it. Well....Blaine said that maybe Trent would want it to fix. So the friend said "ok, he can just have it." The next thing you know we have another car.

Yes, it will need to be fixed but I know that Trent can do it. He's the man!

Here's some pictures. It's actually in really great condition, besides the fixing the engine part!!!

Visiting AZ...

Well, for the past 3 weeks, yes I said 3 weeks, I have been in Arizona visiting my family. It was so much fun! It all started over spring break.....

My family decided to come up and visit Trent and I. We then decided to drive down there to go to the dunes with them. It was the first official time that Trent had been to the dunes. He absolutely loved it! But as usual I brought the camera with us but it never left my purse! I am horrible at remembering to take pictures. Anyways, we were at the dunes for a week  but boy o' boy was it hot!! It was about 95 during the day and at the dunes with that temperature....you roast! Well we came home and unfortunately Trent had to drive back to Utah to go to work the following monday. I decided to stay in AZ with the fam since I am having no luck finding a job! So during the next 2 weeks I was there we went to the movies a couple of times (I recommend the movies "Race to Witch Mountain" and  "Taken"....so good!), we went bike riding, shopping, I worked for a family friend for a couple of days, babysat, and caught up with some aunts & uncles and grandmas & grandpas. I had so much fun considering the week before spring break I had a breakdown from living so far from family and friends. It was so nice to see everyone and catch up on the last 2 1/2 months.

A couple of days before I was going to leave Jenna and Bobby decided to come up here to go to Bobby's missionary reunion considering Trent and I were going to his reunion the same night. I was originally going to come up with my parents and the young women in their ward because they were lucky enough to have the opportunity to go to General Conference. But I chose to come up with Jenna and Bobby because they were leaving a day early and I was really missing Trenton. So we drove back to Utah this past thursday.

We had an eventful weekend with everyone here. On friday, Trent and I took Jenna, Bobby, and Ashtyn to temple square for the day. There's a train from Layton to Salt Lake so we took that and all I can say is Ashtyn loved it! It was such a fun day but all Ashtyn could say is "freezing cold" because it was about 40 degrees out.

On saturday, Jenna and Bobby left to go home but Mom and Dad were in town with the young women so Trent and I took the train back to Salt Lake to spend yet another day in Temple Square. It was also "freezing cold" because it was raining and snowing!
Even though we spent 2 days in a row in Temple Square, Trent and I still had the best time visiting everyone!!!

p.s. Sorry again about the pictures, Jenna may have some on her blog soon enough :)
