Thanksgiving Day!!!

We spent this thanksgiving in Utah! Unfortunately, my camera didn't leave my bag the whole weekend :( I will try and be better this Christmas! Well anyways, Utah was so much fun but cold. We went to Trents parents new house in Vernal. Man, do I love thanksgiving! It was nice to see all the family and get to know Trent's family even better!

We spent all day thursday at Trent's family's house. Friday we went Black Friday shopping. All you women out there...listen up! Teresa (Trent's mom) and I went shopping and spent $128.00 but we saved.......drum roll please............$151.31!!! I love coupons and sales! Friday we went to Salt Lake City to finish some christmas shopping! While we were there Trent and I were able to see some of my family from Idaho Falls! We then spent the night in SLC and left to go home sunday morning. It was a great holiday with the in-laws!!!

p.s. Teresa is all about traditions around the holidays! We made the cutest little oreo cookie turkeys thanksgiving morning! They are made out of an oreo cookie, malt ball, hot tamale candy, chocolate frosting and candy corn!
Here's the cute little turkey!

2 Years and Counting.....

I know it's a little late but Trenton and I celebrated our 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARYon November 3rd!!! I can not believe that we have been married two years already...oh, how time flies!!! We didn't do much since we both had to work that day but we did go to dinner that night. We went to Red Robin, the restaurant where we went on our first date. I got the cobb salad and Trent got the jalapeno burger! It seems like just yesterday that we were walking into the temple to be sealed for Time and All Eternity! I think that I married the best man in the world but doesn't every girl feel that way about their loved one?! Thank you Trenton for being my best friend and my one and only! I Love You!!!

Chooooooooo Chooooooooo

In June this year, Trent and I took a train trip for his birthday. It was a blast!!! The train runs from Durango, Colorado to Silverton, Colorado. We took this trip with our friends Cody and Rachel. They live in Vernal, Utah and met us there to go on this adventure together! The trip was so much fun especially being surrounded by the BEAUTIFUL surroundings of Colorado and riding an old Steam Engine!!!

When we got up there we went to Mesa Verde National Park. The park is filled with the old Anasazi cave dwellings. It was so neat to see the intensity of these dwellings. We took a couple of tours that actually went into the caves. On one of the tours we had to get on our hands and knees to get through the crevices of their houses. These houses were built right on the edge of cliffs overlooking valleys! Here are a few pics:

*View from the highway driving through the park.

*A little friend we met on our way to one of the tours!

*View from the fist dwelling we toured. If you looked over the retaining wall, you would've fallen off!!!

*Waiting to start the hike/tour

*We had to walk sideways to fit through this "hallway"

*Picture of the dwelling

*Another picture

*My butt!!

*Hiking out of the tour, it was very steep!!

*The largest cave dwelling in America!

*A fire pit?!

*Inside one of the buildings

*Beginning to hike out of the second tour

The next day was the train ride! We stayed in a hotel in Cortez, Colorado and then drove up to Durango in the morning. We began the trip at 7 am and didn't get back to the train station until
6 pm. It was an all day thing but was an event of a lifetime!

*The front of the train station in Durango

*While the train was loading, we were taking pictures from our seats. Our car that we rode had no walls which made for a great day photographing the trip!!

*Our friends we went with, Cody and Rachel

*Our car we rode in, The Rio Grande!

*View from inside the car

*As Pocahontas would say, "Just around the river bend!" We were riding along a river which was about 1000 feet below us!

*Us!!

*Another little friend we made. He was sitting on the rock watching all the people while the train was stopped to fill up with water!

*Blowing off steam on the bridge of the Animas River. That was a sight to see!!

*My professional photographers picture. Man, do I love my camera!

*Our train we were on. This is when we arrived in Silverton!

*You can see just how big the train actually is!

*On our way back to Durango! What an amazing, memory making day!!!

Back in AZ....

As most you know Trenton and I have moved back to Arizona! I know, I know....we were only in Utah for 4 months but things happened and Heavenly Father led us back here to the heat and sunshine!!!

We moved back in May so this post is a little bit late but Trent and I have been so busy with work. Here's the story on why we moved back...

We moved up to Layton in January and found the most perfect apartment we could afford. Trent already had a job when we moved up there but I didn't, I was going to find one when we got there. Anyways.....after 4 months I wasn't able to find a job. (I lost count after applying at over 30 places!) In April, the job Trenton was working at was having financial troubles so they had to lay Trenton off. So within a week of that happening we were packing up and heading back down to Arizona. Thanks to my parents and family for helping with everything!!!

So here we are in our new apartment in Surprise! I got my old job back and Trenton took a different job but everything, I guess, was meant to be!! (If only we moved back during an Arizona winter instead of an Arizona summer....curse the heat!)

*Here is the apartment in disarray from packing in 2 days!

Slacker....

Seriously I have totally been slacking on blogging. I'm going to try to be better at blogging a couple of times a month. I will now say the national bloggers pledge (sort of)....

*I pledge allegiance to the blog, of the very big internet, and to the company for which it stands, one blog every two weeks, with humor and boringness to all.

A Day at the Children's Museum

Well, yesterday Trent's family decided to drive down and see us. Today, while Theresa (my mother-in-law) and Stacey (my sister-in-law) drove to Vernal to look at a house, Michelle (another sister-in-law) and I took the 3 little girls (the rest of the sisters-in-law) to the Salt Lake Children's Museum. They LOVED it! It was actually quite fun and entertaining to watch the girls play and learn. I also played a little myself! It was so fun :)

* I made a sandwich out of the play food. Yum!!

*Drawing the horse that's on the wall above me.

*The finished masterpiece!

*Riding the "fake" horse with Carly.

*Lily in the bird house.

*Carly filling the jeep up with gas.

*Anna climbing the rocks.

*The girls and I in the helicopter.

*Michelle and Lily driving the ol' farm truck!

*Rockin' on the porch swing of the GIANT playhouse.

What do you think about getting a FREE car?

So one day last week Trent got a phone call from dad. They spoke for about 30 minutes or so. When Trent finally got off the phone the first words that came out were....."What do you think about a getting a FREE car?" WHAT?! were my thoughts exactly. So now we have a red 2001 Pontiac Grand Am!

The Story:

Trent's dad, Blaine, has a friend in Montana that was the owner car. Blaine was speaking to him one day and they some how got on the topic of cars. (Imagine that?! Grown men talking about cars) Anyways, the friend was talking about the Pontiac and said that something happened in the engine. He also said that he just didn't want to fix it. Well....Blaine said that maybe Trent would want it to fix. So the friend said "ok, he can just have it." The next thing you know we have another car.

Yes, it will need to be fixed but I know that Trent can do it. He's the man!

Here's some pictures. It's actually in really great condition, besides the fixing the engine part!!!
