In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, room...

The weekend after Christmas, my aunt Elizabeth and uncle Kyle asked if I would teach my cousin Josie how to make a cake. She is in as much love as I am with the cake decorating shows! I happily agreed. We made a tiki cake with homemade buttercream icing and homemade fondant. I had so much fun showing her the "ropes." I haven't been making cakes long but absolutely love it! Here are some pictures of our special day! We made the cake a little bit simpler than other cakes I have made. ENJOY!

Time for Crafts!

I follow this blog called Just Another Hang Up. She designed these dang cute monthly plaques. One day, I decided to make them since I have a weakness for home decor. They are cheap and fun to make. It takes about $2.50 to make one plaque! Here are pictures of January & February but I have also made them for September, October, November, and December. She also made a plaque with the Young Women's Values on it. I made one for my little sister, Emilee, and Trent's little sister, Stacey. I hope they like them! If you think these plaques are as cute as I do, you can get the templates and instructions HERE.

*The pink values plaque is for Emilee and the purple values plaque is for Stacey!
