As most of you know I work at a Senior Living Center aka Nursing Home. Most of the residents there are over 85 years old and know an interminable amount of things! For example how to crochet. Well we recently had a resident there who was the best crocheter I have ever seen and I asked her to teach me. That was on Tuesday. It is so fun to do! I have found a new passion for crocheting. My first project is making a baby blanket for Ashtyn's dolls. I am almost finished. Here is a picture of my work in progress!!

Yay for Me!!!
Since September, I have been working on becoming a Certified Activity Director. I recently finished the second half of my classes the first week of May. After that, I had to send in my application to the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals, or NCCAP, to Virginia. It must then be approved by the council. Well......I am now officially certified! With this certification I have been given the opportunity of a promotion and raise at work. I am now the Enrichment Coordinator!!!! Yay for me!

Gila Valley Temple!
A couple of weekends ago, I accompanied my parent's ward young women on a trip to the new Gila Valley Temple open house! The Temple is so beautiful...small, but still as gorgeous as any other temple. It was so fun. One of my favorite things about going to the Temple is feeling the Spirit. I am so thankful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

For Easter my grandma got Trent and I three caterpillars. There names were Herb, Floyd, and Betsy Mae. Unfortunately, Floyd and Betsy Mae didn't make it but Herb did!! And today he emerged from his chrysalis as a beautiful butterfly! Thanks grandma :)

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow!
It has been FOREVER since I last wrote about things going on. Sorry, but Trent and I don't lead very exciting lives! Everything is pretty much the same...work, work, and more work. Did I mention work? Anyways, one thing that has changed....again...is my hair. I decided on a whim to chop it off!! I did just that!! Jenna loves doing drastic haircuts so she was more than pleased to cut my hair for me. She cut a whole 7 inches off!! Here is a picture of the new Ashley!!!

mmmmm...Raw Fish!
So last night, Trenton and I went on a date with his co-worker Cassie and her boyfriend John. We introduced Trent to a cuisine he had never tried before....SUSHI!!! Surprisingly, he actually liked it! (Trenton isn't a big seafood fan, especially raw!) His favorite was called the Cancun. It consisted of raw tuna, crab, avocado, a little cream cheese, jalapeƱos, and cilantro. It was so good but definitely had a bite to it! He also enjoyed the yellowtail and baked scallops. I am so glad he finally got the guts to try it because I love it! So now we can go more often. Last but not least, I was able to enjoy my favorite, tako, or otherwise known as...octopus tentacle. Yum!
